The zodiac starts in the spring with the sign of Aries and ends in winter with Pisces. Interestingly, each astrological sign represents a certain body part or parts starting at the head with Aries, and ending at the feet with Pisces. Coupled with body parts, seasons also play a role in determining the nature of a sign. So Aries is in spring and therefore the baby and Pisces is in winter thus the old soul. Are you a spring, summer, autumn, or winter sign?

Aries Rules The Brain, Head, and Eyes

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac representing spring. It is the baby. Aries has a young soul. Even well into their elder years, they appear youthful. The body part associated with Aries is the head. Just like a child, they are curious about everything. They are hyper energetic. Their non-stop lifestyle can cause psychological stress. So, they often suffer from headaches, migraines, and eyesight issues. In fact, Aries would benefit from slowing down.

Taurus rules the neck, vocal cords, and thyroid. They are most likely to have a beautiful voice with a talent for singing and public speaking. According to medical astrology, Taureans may suffer from chronic sore throats, as well as an over or underactive thyroid. As an earth spring sign, they have a youthful disposition.

Geminis are the social butterflies. They love to strike up conversations with with anyone they encounter. They’re charming and elequent communicators often using their hands to emphasize a point. Mostly, they are thinkers and when idle, they tend to worry too much. As a result, their nerves are often on edge. In extreme cases, some Geminis suffer from anxiety and panic attacks because of their tendency to overthink. Geminis would benefit greatly from meditation.

Cancer is the first sign of summer. It rules the chest, breast, and stomach. Cancers are known for their warm and nurturing disposition. Their top priorities are family and home. One of the ways they nurture others and themselves is with food. It is why some Cancerians might have expanded waistlines. It is also why people are drawn to them. Let’s face it, who doesn’t love a delicious home-cooked meal? Although, their love of food can lead to indigestion concerns and eating disorders.

Leo Rules The Heart, Upper Back, and Spine

Leos are all heart. They are in smack-dab in the hottest part of summer. Leos are brave, generous, and sometimes over-indulgent. Their open heart posture is a proud stance with an arched back. This posture can stress the spinal column. Leos would benefit from stretching and regular visits to the chiropractor. But beware when a Leo’s back acts up because no one likes an unhappy Leo.

Virgo Rules The Intestines, Digestion, and Spleen

Virgo is the last of the summer signs. They are particular about many things, including what they eat and drink. They strive for perfection in everything. Virgos are in a constant struggle to remove what they think unnecessary. Often finding it hard to express their emotions, Virgos prefer to keep busy solving other’s problems. Emotions are connected to the intestines and digestive system. Because Virgos suppress feelings, they are likely to suffer from issues related to the intestines. Virgos would benefit from talking to a trusted friend or professional about their feelings.

Libra Rules The Kidneys, Lower Back, Buttocks, and Skin

Libra is the first sign of fall. They strive for balance in everything. Libra rules the kidneys, lower back, and skin. The kidneys balance fluid in the body — keeping the right balance of electrolytes and flushing out dangerous toxins. Another function of the kidneys is balancing the skin. So, if they‘re not working correctly, they cause pain in the lower back. Notably, the gluteus maximus (buttocks) play a huge role in balancing the body while in motion. Interestingly, all of the body parts associated with Libra serve to balance the body in some way. Conversely, if they’re not functioning properly, they can cause an imbalance. So, it’s no surprise that Libra’s often obsessive desire for harmony can cause imbalances in every area of their lives.

Scorpio Rules The Sexual Organs and Reproductive System

Scorpio is in the middle of fall. It rules over the sexual organs and reproductive system. Scorpios value intimacy and often express that through sensuality and sexuality. They are prone to suffer from UTIs, yeast, and bacterial infections. It isn’t caused by promiscuity or bad hygiene. On the contrary, Scorpios dislike superficial relationships. They are incredibly clean and meticulous. It’s the supersensitivity in the reproductive area that can cause such ailments.

Sagittarius Rules The Thighs, Hips, and Liver

Sagittarius is a fire sign in the last vestiges of fall. It is why they’re always in a rush to get out there before winter comes. Sagittarius rules the thighs, hips, and liver. They’re gregarious and social creatures — the life of the party. They tend to go to extremes. Sagittarians love to express themselves through movement, exercise, and dance. It can lead to hip and thigh problems. They may also suffer from liver problems due to overindulging while networking the social scene.

Capricorn Rules The Joints and Skeletal System

The old goat is the symbol for Capricorn. It is the first sign in winter. They are responsible and rightious. Capricorns constantly push themselves to reach a higher goal. Because they push themselves to the limit, they are susceptible to bone and joint injuries. After all, with the weight of the world on their shoulders, it’s no surprise their bones and joints strain under the pressure. They are prone to arthritis. Capricorns would do well to trust others and learn how to delegate.

Aquarius Rules The Circulatory System and Ankles

Aquarius is an air sign in the middle of winter. It rules the circulation system and ankles. They are fast thinkers and tend to express nervousness outwardly with a tapping foot or fidgety leg. Their bodies can’t keep up with the pace of their minds. Consider a cramp in the calf and how it takes a minute for the body to rectify. The circulatory system functions to keep everything connected and working equally well. Aquarians are inclusive. They are humanitarians. Ergo, Aquarians are pivotal in keeping us all connected. Much like ankles connect the upper body to the feet, Aquarians are the liaison to the collective conscience.

Pisces Rules the Lymphatic System and Feet

Pisces is the last sign of winter. It is calm and chill. It rules the lymphatic system and the feet. The lymphatic system’s function is to absorb toxins and flush them from the body. In doing so, it creates a robust immune system. Pisces is like a sponge soaking up toxic energy that can negatively affect the immune system. They are ultra-sensitive to harmful substances. If Pisceans do not protect themselves energetically, they can lose their stability and grip on reality. The feet connect to the ground and are essential for stability. Pisces must ground themselves in reality. They would benefit from walking barefoot in the grass.
